Bison has a party to get to.
He's ready. He's excited. He's going.
Then his friend Hamster shows up."You can't go to a party without a party hat."
What starts as a quick detour turns into total chaos. Hamster brings hat after hat after hat. Tall ones. Weird ones. Hats that make zero sense, just trying to find the perfect party hat for Bison..or is he?
Just when Bison has had enough, Hamster brings out the most important hat of all and from there, each one sparks a new adventure, and suddenly the whole gang is caught up in a tornado of costumes, characters, and wild imagination.
By the end, Bison realizes he may have missed the party he planned for... but he definitely found the one he needed.
Party Hat is about friendship, imagination, and the beautiful mess that happens when plans go sideways. Oh, and ridiculous hats. So many ridiculous hats.

Say Quack Quack, Funny Little Duck! Say it, say Quack Quack!A boy meets the Funny Little Duck and asks him to do one simple thing:
"Say quack quack, Funny Little Duck."
But the Funny Little Duck has other plans.
Moooo.
No, no, Funny Little Duck. Cows say moo. Ducks say quack quack. Now say it. Say quack quack!
But the Funny Little Duck says… everything else. Woofs. Meows. Chugga chuggas. Even "I want to rock and roll all night!"
The more the boy insists, the more ridiculous it gets. Until things take a turn no one saw coming, and a wild Nerdahopasaurus shows up to shake things up even more.
Will the Funny Little Duck ever say quack quack? Maybe. But probably not the way you expect.

Clark Haaland has been entertaining himself with an overactive imagination for as long as he can remember. What started as daydreams eventually turned into stories, drawings, and the occasional ridiculous idea that refuses to leave until it becomes a book.He grew up in Aberdeen, South Dakota in a house where curiosity and play were taken seriously. His mom ran a daycare and believed that if you were interested in something, you should just start and figure it out along the way. This led to forts, puppet shows, neighborhood adventures, and once even a sandbox in the living room.When things didn’t go your way, she had a simple response: “Tough bounce.”Clark later borrowed that phrase to name Tough Bounce, the home for the strange little stories he now creates.Clark is the author of Say Quack Quack and the upcoming Party Hat. He lives in Waconia, Minnesota with his wife Julie. Together they have five grown children and seven grandchildren who continue to remind him that imagination and play are serious work.Clark still believes a sandbox in the living room is a pretty good idea.
